First N.Z. P.A.C. factory

PA Hamilton New Zealand’s first poly aluminium chloride plant has been commissioned, at the Farmers Fertiliser, Ltd, Morrinsville works.

The plant, to make wastetreatment chemicals, cost more than $1 million. It is. expected to produce enough poly aluminium chloride to satisfy New Zealand’s requirements for the foreseeable future.

Previously all P.A.C., which is used to purify waste and raw water, was imported, mainly from Japan. Farmers Fertiliser has obtained an exclusive licence from Japan to manufacture P.A.C.
