Ships delayed by strike
The drivers’ strike continues to disrupte activities at the Port of Lyttelton. The Tendai Maru and the Sanko Condesa, which arrived last Tuesday, have been unable to work since Wednesday. The Nedlloyd Bangkok has not been able to work since she arrived on Saturday. Costs for the three ships are increasing because of the delays. Berthage fees are about $6BO a day for the Tendai Maru, $B3O a day for the Sanko Condesa, and $553 a day for the Nedlloyd Bangkok.
