Beta lamb price

The three meat companies buying beta lambs have reduced the schedule price to farmers 15c a kilogram to $2.45.

The strengthening of the New Zealand dollar against the lira, the currency of the Italian market where 90 per

cent of the small beta lambs go, was given as the main reason for the schedule fall by a spokesman for the three companies, Waitaki N.Z. Refrigerating, P.P.C.S., and Fort Export.
