Murder charge
PA Auckland A woman, aged 36, and two men appeared in the District Court at Papakura yesterday charged with the murder of a Takanini farmer, Bill Worrall, last Sunday. The name of the woman — who collapsed in the dock and wept as the charge was read — was suppressed on the ground that two children of her marriage had not been informed of the
charge. The two men — Brian Wayne Tomlin, aged 22, an assistant manager, and Shane Samuel O’Dell, aged 20, a lubrication bay attendant, both of Mangere — faced a joint charge of murder with the woman. Judge Mason remanded the three in custody to October 2, all for psychiatric examinations under section 47a (2b) of the Criminal Justice Act.
