Sir Zephyr fails veterinary test
PA Hastings The proposed sale of former New Zealand galloper, Sir Zephyr, to clients of Bart Cummings’ stable has fallen through. The bloodstock agent, Tony Cavanagh, who was negotiating the sale, said yesterday that the Zephyr Bay four-year-old had failed
a stringent veterinarian test in Sydney on Wednesday. Sir Zephyr raced from the New Plymouth stable of John Wheeler until he was sold to Australian, Ray Stehr, and another partner last season. Mr Stehr was a partowner in the glamour racehorse, Strawberry Road.
