Hadlee second in bowling averages

NZPA staff correspondent London Richard Hadlee finished the English cricket season second in the bowling averages, and his fellow New Zealand test player, John Wright, was tenth in the batting figures. Hadlee bowled 473.5 overs for Nottinghamshire, taking 59 wickets and conceding 1026 runs, for an average of 17.38. His figures were boosted by a career-best 8 for 41 against Lancashire this month.
