Bowls official picked
Jack Gillespie has been elected as one of Christchurch’s councillors to the New Zealand Bowling Association. He replaces Peter Rose, who resigned two months ago. Mr Gillespie, whostj, club is Woolston Park, was the
president of the Christchurch centre last season, and this year he will be a centre senior selector. In the election to replace Mr Rose, Mr Gillespie beat two other candidates, Doug Shuker and Howard Smith.
