Hatch Cup loss
Three goals within five minutes early in the second half enabled Hawke’s Bay to come from a 1-3 deficit to beat Canterbury, 4-3, in the Hatch Cup hockey final at Masterton. Canterbury’s goals were scored by Grant Marquet,
Campbell Stewart and Julian Hodgkinson. Stewart, Hodgkinson, Mathew May and Chris Harding were chosen in the South A team and Andrew Robertson, Andrew Timlin and Marquet in the South B team.
