To meet the need for an integrated approach to the engineering function they seek to appoint an Engineering Manager. The main thrust of this position will be to co-ordinate total site engineering activities requiring a multidisciplinary approach in mechanical and electrical maintenance, process development and plant upgrade projects. The Engineering Manager will head a total of 100 staff comprising a middle-management team of qualified engineers as well as mechanical and electrical tradesmen. The role will involve policy formulation and implementation, reporting on activity to top level and ensuring optimum plant performance. This position demands a tertiary-level qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering together with experience in heavy engineering. We are looking for proven performance in the management of a diverse engineering team with evidence of a management perspective in strategy formulation, financial planning and staff control.
