Dream car
PA Hamilton A service station attendant helped the police recover a South Island man’s $57,000 dream car. The attendant became suspicious when she noticed the driver and passengers did not match its up-market image. She telephoned the police, who failed to track it down, but she telephoned them later in the day when she saw the car again. Constable Peter Wilson said the dark-blue Toyota Celica Supra had been stolen from the Wellington wharves, where it was in storage before being sent to its South Island owner.
