Allpress in darts final
The Christchurch darts player, Gordon Allpress, is through to the final of the DB New Zealand darts championships at Rotorua. He will meet Invercargill’s Waka Moses in Saturday’s final.
Allpress, who won the title in 1978, was first
through to the final after the best of seven matches knockout round. Another Canterbury player, Barry Whittaker, the winner, in 1983 and 1984, was expected o go through to the final, but suffered a
shock loss to Auckland’s Ron Glabish.
