Soccer penalty finals
The finals of “The Press” junior soccer penalty-taking competition will be held at half-time in the Rothmans League match between Uni-
versity Cowan and Christchurch Brother United at English Park on Sunday. Two of the finalists in the under 11 section come from the United club. The three are Gerard Duncan and Jeremy Wild, from United,
and Daniel Dungey, of Woolston W.M.C. The goalkeeper will be Brian Davies, also from Christchurch United.
In the under 15 competition, the three finalists are Mark Moran from St Albans-Shirley; Ryan Merlo, of Western; and Richard Devey, of Rangiora. Mike Pannell, the senior Western goal-keeper, will be in goal.
