Childs to extend stay
PA Auckland The Matamata jockey, Greg Childs, has been given a permit to extend his stay in the United States to compete in the 30-day Del Mar meeting. Confirming his plans in a telephone call from the United States on Thursday,
he said he thought he could be back for Gold Trail Stakes day at Hastings on September 14. Childs has had two wins and several minor placings from about 20 race rides in the United States. “The hardest thing up here is to become accepted,Wie said.
