Greenpeace concert
A Christchurch branch of Greenpeace has organised a pop concert to raise funds for the damaged Rainbow Warrior and for the crew member killed when the vessel was sunk in Auckland. A spokeswoman for the branch, Ms Pat Havighurst, said yesterday that several popular bands in Christ-
church would play, free-of-charge, in the Art Centre’s Great Hall at 6 p.m. on Thursday. “It will be a mixed musical programme ranging from country and western to reggae,” she said. The bands include Pyramid, Connoisseurs, Axemin and Chameleons. Lizzy Cook and Steve Lardner will also peform.”
