Robbery verdict
PA Whangarei A jury in the High Court at Whangarei took 25 minutes on Wednesday to find an Auckland man guilty of armed robbery. Paki Toia, aged 26, unemployed, of Mangere, had denied robbing the Parakao Store, 40km west of Whangarei, while armed with a .22 rifle on January 26. Mr Justice Henry convicted and remanded Toia to August 15 for a report and sentence.
