Woman dies after being hit by car

A young woman died in Christchurch Hospital after being struck by a car outside her home in Gloucester Street early yesterday. She was Julie Barbara Warren, aged 24. Miss Warren is believed to have been standing on

the roadway when the car struck her about 6 a.m. She suffered serious injuries, and died in hospital about an hour after being admitted. The police are investigating the accident, and ask anyone who may have seen it to get in touch with the motor accident section.
