Wheat price indicator
The indicator wheat price will remain steady on $289 a tonne for the coming week, the Wheat Board announced yesterday. • The daily quoted price of Australian standard white remained steady on SUSI 36 a tonne for all of this week and movements in the converted price, in New Zealand dollars,, were due to changes in the xchange rate between the US
and the SNZ. ast Monday the exchange ate was 0.4665 and the conversion was $NZ291.53; on Tuesday the rate was 0.4675 and the New Zealand price $290.90; Wednesday, 0.4700, $289.36; Thursday, 0.4750, 286.32; and Friday, 0.4780, $284.52. That gave an average of $289 for the week, which becomes the board indicator price for next week.
