Strange withdraws
NZPA-AP Sandwich Curtis Strange, the leading money winner in the United States this year, has withdrawn from next week’s British Open golf championship. Strange said he was withdrawing because of “pressure of leading the
United States order of merit these last few months plus the desire to spend some much needed time with my family.” .Strange, who almost won the United States Masters, said he regretted the decision but was looking forward to next year’s Open.
