Scholarship awarded

A Form 6 pupil at Whangarei Girls’ High School, Alexa Mitchell, aged 17, has won a trip to India on a World Vision scholarship. Miss Mitchell was awarded the scholarship at a dinner in Wellington last evening. She was one of 10

pupils representing schools which had raised the most money in World Vision’s annual 40-hour famine. This is the second consecutive year that a pupil of Whangarei Girls’ High School has won the World Vision scholarship to go overseas.
