Day’s stay of extradition

NZPA staff correspondent The New South Wales Supreme Court yesterday ordered the New Zealander, Peter Fulcher, home to face bank robbery and drug charges, but also granted him leave to appeal. After ordering the extradition, Mr Justice Wood granted Fulcher a stay until 5 p.m. today to take his case to the Court of Appeal.

His Honour’s reserved judgment followed on a twoday hearing earlier this week to review an extradition order made by a Sydney magistrate a week ago.
