PA Auckland The noted singing teacher, Dame Sister Mary Leo, who numbers Dame Kiri Te Kanawa among her triumphs, is in hospital with a cracked hipbone, The accident means that Dame Sister Mary, who is
90, will miss the grand final of her $15,000 singing scholarship today. Middlemore Hospital reported she was in a comfortable condition, but she would not be able to leave hospital in time to hear the six finalists sing at the Auckland Town Hall.
