Flight chaos looms
NZPA-AAP Sydney Australia’s air services face chaos as the Sydney Airport firefighters’ strike spreads to Melbourne today and probably nationally by midweek. Branch meetings of the Federal Firefighters’ Union (F.F.U.) across the country
yesterday voted to escalate industrial action which has already severely disrupted flights in and out of Sydney. The firefighters were resolute in their decision to step up the action, said the secretary of the New South Wales F.F.U., Mr lan Browning.
