Northern nominations

PA Auckland Cozi Kid and Crown Star have been entered for both major jumping races at Ellerslie at the week-end — the Tanalith Northern Hurdles on Saturday and the Nescafe Great Northern Steeplechase on Monday. The hurdles drew a large entry, 27. and the steeplechase. 20. Two New Zealand-bred but Australian-owned and trained jumpers, Battle Sobig and Fast Food, are among the steeplechase nominations. Hunterville and Dulico, the first two home last year, are entered again, but Civil Rights (third) is a notable absentee. Bymai and Wapiti are South Island horses in the Nescafe Great Northern.

Outright, which won the Tanalith Northern last year, is again entered.
