New premises for a highly specialised business

Two men, with 23 years of experience in various aspects of the pumping field between them, opened their new company premises in Sydenham earlier this year. The co-directors of Pump Systems, Ltd, Mr lan McEwen and Mr Alastair McLachlan, opened their 139.355qm warehouse-show-room in Wordsworth Street in February. Together they bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the highly specialised area of pumping equipment and accessory lines.

Mr McEwen has had more than eight years experience in marketing industrial pumping equipment and accessories to general industry, local bodies, consulting engineers and Government departments throughout the South Island. He is responsible for marketing the wide range of the company’s products and supplies. Mr Alastair McLachlan had been involved in the industrial and agricultural pumping fields, as well as industrial valving and boiler controls for more than 15 years. The daily running of the warehouse, and the manufacturing and servicing of the company pumping equipment is Alastair’s side of the business.

The two other co-direc-tors of Pump Systems are Mrs Maree McEwen, who is also the company secretary, and Mrs Helen McLachlan.
