Bible training
Sir,—Your correspondent, David Shanks, can only make whimsical remarks about my suggestion that young convicted criminals should be sentenced to a term of Bible training (“The Press,” May 25). Such schooling would be good for these young people, who are making nonsense of their lives, have become a drain on society, have become idle-minded and have not had any spiritual training. Knowledge of the Bible is an invaluable part of education lacking in the youth of today. — Yours, etc., A. DELHANTY. May 26, 1985.
