‘Hot Lips’ gift
NZPA-AP Los Angeles Loretta Swit, known to television viewers round the world as Major Hot Lips Houlihan of the long-running M*A*S*H series, has given 225 scripts from the programme to Yale University. The 8000 pages of scripts added up to 4000 days on the set, said a publicist, Gloria Luchenbill. The scripts contained dozens of episodes about Miss Houlihan’s affair with the cowardly Major Frank Burns and hundreds more of her running feud with Captain Hawkeye Pierce, played by Alan Alda for 11 years.
