Arrest at protest
A man was arrested and charged with behaving in an offensive manner last evening. The incident allegedly occurred outside the Friends Meeting House in Manchester Street where an antirugby tour meeting was being held. A group protesting against the meeting was on the pavement outside the building. The complainant said she was not associated with the meeting. The man will appear in the District Court tomorrow.
