Jet freed
A Colombian jumbo jet has returned to Bogota after American Customs agents seized it last week after finding 1133 kg of cocaine aboard. The Foreign Ministry give no other details but a nited States Customs official told a Miami radio station that V Colombia’s national airline, Avianca, had paid a SUSI.9B million guarantee. He said that covered the penalty of up to SUSSO for every ounce of cocaine that Avianca would have to pay if found guilty of trafficking. Avianca also had agreed to return the aircraft to U.S. Customs voluntarily if asked to do so. — Bogota.
