Constable ‘rescued’
PA Auckland Shoppers formed a barrier to protect a lone policeman facing a gang of street kids on Devonport Wharf on Thursday night.
Between 40 and 50 shoppers and shopkeepers “rescued” Constable Gary Simpson when he was threatened after arresting one of the gang for vandalising wharf buildings.
