Machinery show next month

About 7000 trade visitors are expected to the 1985 Southern Machinery Show in Christchurch next month. A record number of exhibitors is expected for the trades fair organised by X.P.O. Exhibitions, Ltd. About 76 companies are expected to be at the King Edward Barracks from March 13 to 15. Exhibits will include engineering and woodworking machinery, and equipment for handling materials. In conjunction with the show will be a series of seminars on topics ranging from industrial robotics to safety management. For the first time a Government-sponsored Australian group of 25 companies will exhibit. The Minister of Overseas Trade and Marketing, Mr Moore, will open the show.
