Training accident
Michael O’Brien, secretary of the Marlborough Trotting Club, suffered facial injuries in an accidennt on the training track at Westport on Monday. He was exercising the pacer, El Abasan, when the horse shied and fell, O’Brien was admitted to the Westport Hospital, where he is expected to remain for about a week.
