escorted by Major Ross Milne, of the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment, as they inspect the guard of honour at the Changing
of the Guard ceremony in Cranmer Square yesterday. The Changing of the Guard- and Beating Retreat
ceremonies were held yesterday in recognition of Canterbury Anniversary Day. The old guard was pro-
vided by the 2nd Canterbury Battalion, R.N.Z.1.R., and the new guard by the 2/lst Battalion, R.N.Z.I.R.
