Goods lost, strayed and stolen
The Christchurch police property officer, Mrs Joanne Rathgen, displays some of the items of lost and stolen goods which were handed to the police after Show Day week-end. Mrs Rathgen said that 33 recovered items were taken
to the property office at the Christchurch Central Police Station, which was about twice the usual number handed in after a week-end. The police are trying to trace the owners of goods including a Bell Pace transceiver, a binocular, a blue nylon sports bag containing
men’s clothing, cassette tapes, and a sailor’s suit. They also have a suitcase which holds a Mamiya camera and other photographic equipment, and a concrete figurine use as a cactus holder. Both these items are believed to have been stolen.
