N.Z. wins ICL game

A team of New Zealanders has won the Asian ICL Management Game finals held in Singapore, in competition with teams from Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. In a tough contest with the runners up, Singapore, the New Zealand team came to the lead in the fifth round of the eight-round game, and managed to maintain its lead by heavy marketing. Its winning profit was $1.2 million. The team comes from Colonial Mutual Life Assurance, in Wellington, and won its way to the Asian final in mid October, when it topped the New Zealand finals of the game.

The team members are: Trevor Playford (team chairman), Kathy Playford, Paul McPhail, and Stephen McPhail, all of Wellington.
