affirmed that there should' be no formal relationship between the Methodist Church and Radio Rhema, a private religious broadcasting station. Two other reasons given to conference for the Church’s stance: ® That radio broadcast-
ing purely for religious reasons could have the effect of isolating religion from the rest of life. • That such stations were controlled by individuals whose own standards and beliefs might not be those of the Methodist Church.
