Albania a surprise
NZPA-AFP
The mystery men of Albania sprang a World Cup surprise on Wednesday when they drew in Poland, while Finland gave England a helping hand in its bid to win a ticket to Mexico in 1986.
Only a goal 11 minutes from time denied Albania a shock victory against the Poles, third in the 1982 World Cup, with its European qualifying group one match ending in a 2-2 draw.
The performance of the Albanians underlined the fine impression they left in Brussels a fortnight ago, Belgium scoring twice in. the last six minutes to snatch a 3-1 win.
