Tokelauans to hold talks in N.Z.

PA Wellington Six representatives of the tiny New Zealand territory of Tokelau will visit Wellington from November 6 to November 9. The Prime Minister, Mr Lange, said that discussions with the Tokelauans would centre on' the future political and economic development of the territory and its specific needs for New Zealand help. V. Tokelau is New Zealand’s last non-self-governing ter-

ritory in the South Pacific. About 1600 people live on three small, remote coral atolls with a total land area of only 12.2 sq km. The people depend almost entirely on New Zealand for financial support for education, health, transport, and communications. Mr Lange said that while Tokelau had gone a long way towards assuming control of its own affairs, overall administrative responsibility still rested with the New Zealand Government.
