This was the final training run for the team before it plays in the semi-finals of the H. W. Smith Trophy national inter-club competition in Wellington next Friday. Selwyn is the defending champion, and will play Palmerston North Old Boys in its semi-final. St Luke’s (Auckland) and Wairarapa College Old Boys are the other semi-finalists. The final will be played the following Saturday. The matches will be the first to be played on the new artificial surface at Mt Albert Park.
