Airline’s new colours
The Mount Cook Line unveiled the company’s new colour scheme for its aircraft and vehicles at a carnival at Christchurch Airport last evening. The new colours of blue, white, orange, and yellow, are only the third for the group, and its general manager, Mr Philip Phillips, said they represented the beginning of “a new enhanced image.” _
New legislation was bringing new challenges in the air and on the ground. Equipment needed to be right and give a good impression, Mr Phillips said. No other comparable aircraft flying could match the versatility and characteristics of the Hawker Siddeley 748 and when Mount Cook Airline moved into new aircraft, the 748 would be. retained, he said.
