Island is slow-moving and a north to north-east airstream flows on to New Zealand. A weak frontal zone over the South Island is drifting south, bringing some drizzle about the coasts night and • morning and a few afternoon showers about the ranges. night but long sunny intervals in the afternoon; cool. Nelson, Marlborough, JJuller: Moderate northeasterlies; mostly cloudy with some areas of mist and drizzle in the morning.
