Stortford Lodge in Cup field
Stortford Lodge will be able to start in the New Zealand Cup at Addington Raceway next Tuesday. The Auckland pacer, Spanker On, has been causing concern since his outstanding trial on Tuesday and he has been scratched from the Cup, allowing Stortford Lodge to re-enter the field. The trouble with Spanker On is not thought to be serious, but it is a recurrence of a minor problem which has affected him from time to time. All going well, Spanker On will be able to contest the $20,000 Franklin Cup on Saturday week.
