Unleaded petrol will be yellow
NZPA staff correspondent Sydney Unleaded petrol to be available throughout Australia from July 1 next year will be coloured yellow and come from a distinctive pump with a specially designed nozzle. The colour is to distinguish it from leaded fuel, which is purple, and the smaller nozzle is compatible with the petrol tank inlet on cars designed to run on unleaded fuel to prevent refuelling mistakes. .
