Big time concession
Tony Good (Olympic) will concede a handicap of 53 minutes to the front marker in the annual Kairaki to Christchurch 20km road running race tomorrow.
Good will give a start of one minute to the 1983 Canterbury marathon champion, Mel Radcliffe (New Brighton). Mary O’Connor (Univer-
sity), the Canterbury women’s road champion, has entered, and is off 45 minutes, with the next woman starting eight minutes earlier.
Only 242 runners have entered, compared with 424 when the race was held in May last year. The front 4 markers start at 2 p.mr
