Greyhounds Hotspur Hobbs appeals

Hotspur Hobbs could capitalise on a good draw and take the final of the America’s trophy at the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club’s on-course totalisator meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park this evening. A smart heat winner before a good second to the promising Cheeky Kate in a semi-final a fortnight ago, Hotspur Hobbs should be handy all the way and will be finishing on better than most. Cheeky Kate looks a threat, although she will have to contend with box No. 6. Her heat win, however, was impressive, and a smooth beginning should see her right in the thick of the finish. Taurean Sky, the fastest heat winner, is well-boxed on the inside. She does not always run her races right out over 560 m, but will take any advantage on the first corner, and must be rated a winning chance. Tequila Khan was th< slowest heat winner, but is improving with each run and could prove good eachway value.
