Open forums for women

Parliamentary reporter Eleven open forums for women will be held throughout New Zealand during October and November, said the Minister for Women’s Affairs', Mrs Hercus.

For the first time women in all regions would have the chance to make their views known directly to the Government on social and economic issues, she said. All women who wanted to participate could do

so. Government women members would attend every forum to listen to the Priorities of local women, hese views would be recorded and used by the Ministry. The forum for Canterbury (co-ordinated by Kathie Lowe and Shirley Duffy) will be on'November 3, as will that for Westland-Nel-son-Marlborough (co-ordi-nated by Mary O’Regan).
