Namu Baby should continue form
Special correspondent Wellington The consistent mare, Namu Baby, is expected to continue her consistent form by winning the Super Liquorman Mobile Pace, the first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Wellington Trotting Club’s meeting at Hutt Park tomorrow evening. Namu Baby’s form is hard to fault with two wins and three placings from her last five starts. She has been finishing her races out strongly and last time out finished third behind Kentucky Prince in a
class 4-6 race at Claudelands. Tomorrow’s race is restricted to class 3 and 4 and she looks well placed to record her second victory on the track. Tudela Bromac will come in for plenty of support. He bolted in by six lengths over 2000 m at Addington on August 18 but was a little disappointing last time over 2600 m. However, he should race kindly in this line-up. Fairdale Prince returned yet another minor placing when second at Alexandra Park on August 17 and
should return another honest effort. Tact Byrd and Smooth Charm are capable types, worthy of consideration.
Amy Bock, which scored her maiden win on the track in June, could return to take the Hotel St George Mobile Pace, the second leg. She has been far from disgraced in her three starts this term and should have the measure of this field.
Kiwi Royale blotted his copybook last start but his previous efforts were solid, while Malakula is talented on his day.
