Soviet buys more wheat
NZPA-AFP Washington The Soviet Union has bought another 100,000 tonnes of United States wheat, due for delivery by September 30, says the American Agriculture Department. The order brings total Soviet grain purchases for 1983-84, the first crop year of a five-year SovietUnited States accord, to 14.1 million tonnes — 7.5 million of wheat and 6.6 million of. corn.
In addition, the Soviet Union has bought 416,000 tonnes of soybeans.
