NZPA Staff Correspondent Tuvalu The Australian Prime Minister, Mr Hawke, stood down as the South Pacific Forum’s chairman when the Forum country leaders met in Tuvalu yesterday. Tuvalu’s Prime Minister, Dr Tomasi Puapua, was the only nomination for the post which he will hold until the next Forum in two year’s time. The meeting is being held in the Vaiaku Maneapa, a simple meeting house open on three sides with incongruous microphones in front of each leader.
