Foresters top in Sunday soccer
Foresters made sure of winning the first division of the Countrywide Sunday Soccer League with its 4-1 win over North Beach A. Not only did the win ensure Foresters of the title, but it also meant that North Beach, which has been in the first division for the 10 years of the league, was relegated to the second division. Woolston Foundry finished second and Music Machine third. Music Machine had a player, John Moore, sent off, out hung on to beat Excelsior, 1-0. Dux de Lux won promotion to the first division by winning the second, with Ham the runner-up and D.B. Imperial A third. Mastagard B was relegated. Lyttelton third. C.S.B. was relegated. Dux de Lux B won the fourth division, with Music Machine B second and Mico Wakefield third.
