Canterbury begins its attempt to take back the national netball title at Timaru this afternoon. The national tournament begins today and Canterbury meets Hawke’s Bay in its match at 1.45 p.m. It' should be a comfortable win for the Canterbury side. Canterbury Country will

meet Wellington and will be lucky to take two points from its first match. In the senior grade of 12 teams Canterbury is seeded fourth and Canterbury Country as eighth. The tournament will continue until Saturday, culminating in the annual inter-island match.
